Dine With Ysabel: Rita’s Italian Ice

Ice spy the coolest quencher in the US, and it’s making snow storms in the Philippines!

After being a figure skater for several years, I’d like to think I’ve got ice in my veins. 😛 Seriously though, when the heat here in the Philippines gets unbearable, doesn’t anything cold come to mind to ease the humidity? Rita’s is your perfect fix. It’s not just your typical ice cream or cool quencher, pun intended. Rita’s got different ways of keeping you cool, with the presence of flavored ice or frozen custard in every creation. Here are some of the many creations they have in store!

The Classics in a Cup
The flavored ice and frozen custard combination of the two ice cream flavor classics make a good mix. If you’re feeling a little fun and fruity while satisfying your sweetest cravings, the Strawberry Kiwi Gelati would be your bet.

Sundaes At The Park
The sun doesn’t shine bright for sundaes! A large brimmed ice cream cone is filled by oreo crumbs, towered by frozen and creamy custard, whipped cream and finished by a cherry on top, strawberry syrup and more oreo crumbs. This concoction gives sundays at the park a good meaning – to stroll along over good, casual conversations over a mad sundae by Rita’s. You also get to alter your creamy custard flavor of choice, from coffee, light vanilla, orange cream, strawberry and vanilla.

Fun-Dango with Mango
It’s not as seen in the photo, but out of the three, the Mango Gelati stands out as my favorite. The national fruit flavor is reminiscent of our childhood munching fresh and ripe mangoes from our grandparents’ trees, but this time quenches with the coolness of vanilla gelati. It’s the sweetest treat for every Juan. 😉

You have a lot of cold treats to choose from and different combinations to add or remove, so everything’s definitely cooler with Rita’s! 😉
