Before anything else, this statement purse from Bershka is a great pick-me-up when you’re having a bad day. It also brings life to a plain ensemble! You can’t ever wrong with the fundamental, classic black and white tandem. Horizontal stripes tend to create more width for big-boned bodies like mine, resulting to a “wider” figure than usual. Thankfully, the versatile a-line structure works for most body shapes and figures. Finally sealing the deal is the length of this Zara dress and the Forever 21 ankle strap heels by elongating a petite figure such as I. The lower the heel (the closer it comes to your ankle), the more it makes you appear longer!
Now, for my musings.
It’s one of those times when you have the sudden urge to write and pour out what’s in your heart that you can’t seem to express them verbally, hence one of the reasons why I created this blog. I rarely do in-depth personal writing here on my blog (since I opt to write my insights some place else) and this is a first of sharing a testimony of my Faith.
I refuse to see my Septembers as unlucky since I don’t believe in the concept of luck but a ‘special’ time of the year where my faith in Him is greatly put to the test compared to the other eleven months of the year. This month I was faced with a lot of challenges and some heartbreaks. However, I am assured of the promises He has kept and will fulfil.
Don’t get me wrong, I am NOT depressed. It’s just that many circumstances didn’t come my way, or at least result to what I didn’t expect or hope for.
But you know, the Lord truly is amazing and He answers prayers. Just when a door closed, a window opened. The Lord reminds us that in Romans 8:28 that things work together for good to those who love Him; who have been called under His purpose. No matter how vicious or strong the storm may be, a rainbow will appear right after that symbolises His Promises for us.
When you feel down or discouraged, trust in the Lord and lean not in your understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Greater things are coming your way as long as you remain faithful to Him! 🙂
Yes, September is my diamond in the rough. But beautiful things are yet to be discovered underneath that surface! 🙂
Hope you enjoyed reading my first, short testimony on my blog. Feel free to share your thoughts below!
