Shoot: A Sports Photo Contest

This is backlog post since I couldn’t post the photos on the duration of the contest. I was invited by my churchmate Mikee Nazal to be the subject of her entry to Shoot: A Sports Photo Contest, a sports journalism class in University of the Philippines – Diliman. The photo contest was considered a completion of final requirements for Ate Mikee and the photo with most amount of likes bags the ‘People’s Choice’ award. Heaven was smiling down on Ate Mikee – she won!

I willingly agreed to take part on this “project” because of the love I have for the sport. I wanted people to see the beauty of it, its uniqueness; the tranquility, the enjoyment it gives me. Twelve years in the sport, well, I must admit I’ve lost interest in some points in my life, but figure skating is very much my first love – it will always be a part of me.

Despite the weeks I haven’t been training in ice skating because of my busy schedule in cheerleading and school, I’m happy I can still do the maneuvers I didn’t think I could do wayyy before. Haha!

Thanks again Ate Mikee! 🙂
