Travel With Ysabel: Yosemite National Park

The night before our trip to the Yosemite National Park, my dad assigned me to research on how far it would be from where we were. 3 ½ hours, it said. What? 3 ½ hours?! Lately, I easy get car-sick so I honestly didn’t know if I could survive another long ride. I looked up to see the attractive spots there and off we went the following day. It was a good timing to wear pants since the weather was colder than the last two days we were here. That 3 ½ hour long car drive is worth it, I tell you.

If the Sequoia National Park can make me want to soar in the sky, Yosemite will leave you not just breathless but make you want to stay there forever. You’d get stuck  for the cold, fresh air; and the peace, tranquility and beauty of the place. Glacier Point would be the must-see for this place where you could spot the half-dome, snow-cap mountains and the waterfalls Vernal (lower left) and Nevada (upper right).

I am so blessed to have gone to a once-in-a-lifetime trip like this. Opportunities like these aren’t seen everyday and I’m happy I got to experience it this summer.

The selfie (monopod) was frankly an attention-seeker for fellow tourists there so many would ask where we got ours. Mine is actually a gift from my friend Nadine for my birthday but I also recommend Mondo Finds, an online shop based in the Philippines (this is legit, of course!). You could find them on Facebook, Instagram or contact them at +63917.824.5018. They ship worldwide! 🙂
